Ebook About
Craig Beck is a well-regarded family man with two children, a beautiful home, and a successful media career. A director of several companies & at one time the trustee of a large children’s charity. Craig was a successful & functioning professional man in spite of a ‘2 bottles of wine a night’ drinking habit. For 20 years he struggled with problem drinking, all the time refusing to label himself an alcoholic because he didn't believe he met the stereotypical image that the word portrayed. He tried countless ways to cut down; attempting ‘dry months,’ banning himself from drinking spirits, only drinking at the weekend & special occasions (and found that it is amazing how even the smallest of an event can suddenly become ‘special’). All these 'willpower' based attempts to stop drinking failed (exactly as they were destined to do). Slowly he discovered the truth about alcohol addiction & one by one all the lies he had previously believed started to fall apart. For the first time, he noticed that he genuinely didn’t want to drink anymore. In this book, he will lead you through the same fantastic process. The Craig Beck quit drinking method is unique: No need to declare yourself an alcoholic. A permanent cure, not a lifetime struggle. No group meetings or expensive rehab. No humiliation, no pain and 100% no ‘willpower’ required. Treats the source of the problem, not just the symptoms. What people are saying about ‘Alcohol Lied To Me’:“I was so excited to find your method. I had never seen anything quite like it so of course I enthusiastically purchased it. I have to say I was blown away by the unique frankness. It REALLY hits home in a very good way. It's as if a very caring, non-judgemental friend can see right through me in a way that can only be known by someone who's been through it all. I am incredibly grateful to have found your book and your logical genius. Thanks from DP (Arizona, U.S.A)”

Book Alcohol Lied to Me: How to Stop Drinking and Get the Real You Back Review :

Truthfully, I was a little taken aback at the beginning, as the ideas seemed so strange at first, I had to tell myself to hold my horses and wait with the judgment to the end. I promised to myself that no matter what I will read this book cover to cover.Firstly, I saw only differences between me and the author - different attitude towards alcohol, different problem, different home situation... I happened to live in UK for many years and I know several people with exactly the same problem as this guy. But not me. I was different. And then, somewhere in the middle of the book, I couldn't lie to myself anymore. I had to admit that alcohol was in fact a poison and that it was a highly addictive one, too. No matter what you do, you get addicted to it eventually. It can take years or decades, but if you persist and regularly consume alcohol, it will be more and more difficult to quit. When faced with those facts, I knew I had no other choice but to quit it, which I did. I followed the steps in the book and haven't touched the alc for 2 months now. But more importantly I do not feel the sense of deprivation at all. Instead, I feel that I have finally given myself the freedom that I always deserved - the freedom to wake up with hangover-free mind. The freedom to feel ok when driving to the parties. The freedom to speak when everyone at the party no longer can and finally the freedom to put into my body what truly nourishes it and not a posion.Do I recommend this book? Sure thing. But it will not be easy to face the facts. One last remark - if you decide to purchase it, I suggest you read it cover to cover, no matter what.Edit: it's now 2019 and I'm still off alcohol. I've managed to continue my social life quite well, don't feel socially excluded at all. In fact I enjoy the parties even more now that I'm conscious all the way through ;)
Yes, the book has great points and some chapter hit close to home but overall, the author's experience is nothing like mine or other 'common people'. For instance, he references to multiple times of going out for a dinner date and spending hundreds to thousands of dollars on wine in one sitting, how he constructed a personal and private wine cellar in his home etc. It makes his experience completely unrelatable to a person from the lower-middle class background. The second thing, he continually reminds you that he wants you to review this book, go to his website, share his links etc. In the kindle version he immerse you within a recovery mindset then yanks you out with a desperate plead to get you to promote him...the point of your book isn't to become famous, its to help people and right now, I can't even focus on my own recovery. The book has good messages but the overall experience of reading this made me feel as if he kept one-upping himself and throwing money/experience in our faces yet tells us he needs us to promote him...really ruins the mood of the book
